Practitioner Spotlight: Sarah Healy

Sarah is passionate about enabling everyone to exercise no matter their age, condition, or experience. Her goal is to help you move more efficiently and with less pain but also assist you to reignite a joy for exercise and movement.

 

After many years of experiencing pain and restricted movement herself, Sarah she has learnt first hand the role anxiety and mental health can have on your experience of injury and pain. Sarah has keenly followed a passion for the mental health, pain and exercise link. Sarah attended Whole Body Health and Wellness first as a client and experienced the benefits of what they offer and she was keen to become part of the team.

 

 

Sarah has been an Exercise Physiologist (EP) for 15 years and has been working in the sport and fitness industry since she was 15 years old, starting as a gymnastics coach and judge. Moving to Geelong in 2005 she has watched the Exercise Physiology professional grow from a handful in the area to now Medicare, TAC, Workcover, NDIS and private health recognising the benefits of exercise on recovery, health and wellbeing and EP’s now commonly in Medical and Allied health clinics.

 

Sarah is a mum of 3 children, 8, 5 and 2-year-old and with her husband is happily kept busy with their numerous sporting endeavours and their lust for life. She enjoys watching how her children run, jump and balance purely for the fun of it and tries to remember to join in too!
